MANUAL MICROTOMES

HM 325 Extraordinarily high stability and precision as well as outstanding ergonomic characteristics. The intigrated, large section waste tray is an exclusive design feature of the Thermo Scientific Microm product line. Moreover, the model HM 325 offers specimen retraction during return travel, quick trim feature at 10 and 30 microns and a section counter.

SLIDING MICROTOME

HM 430 The exceptionally smooth movement of the knife carrier provides effortless sectioning quickly. The caged sliding movement assures optimal stability and consistent high quality sections even with hard and large specimens up to 155x 90 mm, at high or low cutting speeds.


HM 450 A unique sliding microtome with automatic fine/trim- feed system, specimen retraction during return travel. Maintenance-free precision cross roller bearings. KS 34 S /R/SL The fast freezing unit KS 34 is designed as table-top unit for the adaptation to a rotary or a sliding microtomes for cryo sectioning of fixed specimen from biology and medicine as well as for sectioning soft plastics, rubber, textile fibres, wood, and other materials.

The unit has an extremely efficient enclosed cooling system which ensures fast freezing-on of specimens, temperature control and defrosting within seconds with minimum handling.

Section Transfer System STS Thin sections of excellent quality are guided via a continuous laminar flow of water from the knife edge into the heated water bath without manual manipulation.

The system consists of a special disposable blade carrier with laminar flow of water between cutting edge and heated water bath mounted directly on the microtome. Immediate section stretching occurs as a result of water surface tension simultaneous with cutting. Paraffin ribbons captured are gently transported via a water bridge and transferred automatically into the water bath. Unwanted sections and trim debris are collected in a separate removable waste tray.

CN 30 Cryo Attachment Cryo-sectioning attachment as additional equipment for the HM 360 CN for sectioning at low temperatures.

Cool Cut Cool idea for your daily needs in histology. The electrical cooled object clamp on the Cool-Cut provides reproducible sectioning conditions by holding the paraffin block within an optimal temperature range.

Even for lengthy sectioning conditions without the need to recool outside the clamp can be provided. The clamp temperature remains constantly approx. 20 K below ambient temperature. The Cool-Cut can be attached to all MICROM rotary microtomes and is available with cassette clamp or standard clamp.

Histo Collimator 220-240V/50-60 Hz. Aligns block-face to the cutting plane of the microtome. Especially useful for the fast cutting of already sectioned paraffin blocks.

CRYOSTATS

HM 525 The HM 525 is ergonomically designed to provide excellent performance and versatility. The instrument will provide consistent reproducibility in the preparation of frozen sections in clinical histology laboratories requiring economical dependable performance.

HM 525 is completely manual with a wheel controlled coarse feed. The instrument feature electronic temperature control down to -35°C, fast freezing device with peltier down to -55°C and a spacious, easy to clean cooling chamber.
